Mount Scott is not going to be the highest mountain you've ever ridden on. You'll enjoy the winding road leading you to the peak. You'll find ample parking with a few viewing areas along the way. From your vantage point you'll be able to see for miles. You will be amazed at how many lakes are in the surrounding area. It is a must stop – one you'll enjoy and regret missing if you don't go.

It has been a grand trip. Would I come back again? I certainly would. Doris alone is reason enough to come back. All the animals are a bonus. I'd have to grade this trip as relaxing. It is not a long day in the saddle sort of experience. I purchased a hammock along the way. I found the perfect spot for it near my tent. Snoozing under the trees was invigorating – all the stress flowed out of my body — all was right with the world — even if the Raccoon and I didn't see eye to eye. Rocky was a pain in the neck but even he couldn't ruin this trip.

MEERS — what can I tell you about Meers? It is one of those places you "gotta go." I'm sure y'all know what I mean. Does it live up to the hype? You'll have to answer that after you've been there. My honest assessment is – it is a mixed bag. I read about it on YELP before I left. Folks love the meat. I agree, good burger meat. Too much bun. The meat to bun ratio was way out of whack. I threw the bottom out and it still had too much bread. They cut their burgers in quarters – the onion, tomato and lettuce all seemed to be on the same quadrant – shoddy chef. Now the wings ... I loved their wings. I had them the first visit and loved them so much I got an order the next day to go for supper that night. I do recomment the wings. They make their own beer – or at least they serve a large bottle that says Meer's Beer on the lable. Cold and delicious! I didn't order it, but everyone there polished off their meals and still asked for the cobbler that comes with a huge stack of ice cream on it. I figure it must be good because these were repeat customers. One more thing while I have your attention – don't be surprised if you have to wait. I had to wait and it was Monday. It must really be something on a holiday.
